Mark Hill

Managing Director

Mark founded Layer 4 with a clear aim: to provide reliable technology backed by people who genuinely care about their customers. As Managing Director, he leads the company’s growth and direction while keeping Layer 4 approachable, responsive and focused on delivering excellent service at every stage.

Jo Milligan

Cloud Services Director

Jo leads Layer 4’s cloud services, helping customers make effective use of Microsoft 365, Azure and cloud technology. She combines strong technical knowledge with a practical approach, making complex solutions easier to understand and ensuring every solution supports the customer’s wider business goals.

Jem Blackford

Operations Director

Jem oversees the day-to-day operations at Layer 4, helping the team deliver a consistent and dependable service. He focuses on improving processes, supporting colleagues and ensuring customers receive responsive, straightforward IT support that keeps their businesses secure, productive and moving forward.

Ben Gilbert

Technical Director

Ben leads Layer 4’s technical strategy, ensuring the solutions we deliver are secure, reliable and built around each customer’s needs. He works closely with the technical and support teams to solve complex challenges, maintain high standards and help customers get long-term value from their technology.

Carl Stephens

Sales Director

Carl leads sales at Layer 4, working closely with businesses to understand their challenges and identify the right technology solutions. He focuses on building strong, long-term relationships and ensuring every recommendation is practical, relevant and shaped around each customer’s needs and goals.

Michelle Clayson

Marketing Manager

Michelle leads Layer 4’s marketing, communicating what makes the company and its people different. She manages the website, content, campaigns, social media, partnerships and brand activity, turning technical subjects into useful information that connects with customers and supports continued growth.

Karl Calvert

Support Team Leader

Karl leads Layer 4’s support team, helping ensure customers receive responsive, reliable and friendly assistance whenever they need it. He supports team development, coordinates day-to-day service delivery and helps resolve technical issues efficiently, keeping customers connected, secure and productive.

Cathy Robinson

Finance Manager

Cathy manages Layer 4’s finance function, supporting the smooth running of the business and helping customers with account-related queries. Organised, approachable and always happy to help, she plays an important role in keeping financial processes clear, accurate and efficient across the business.
